Holy Cow…Memolink’s Paying More!

March 11, 2003 · 10 comments

Update: This was incorrect; my apologies. The way Memolink’s site visits work is, if you don’t click them one day, they roll over to the next. Usually 2 or 3 are added each day. So if you don’t check the site every day, when you do log in, you’ll find a lot waiting for you. You probably don’t wanna participate in this site anyway…see why here.
I was reviewing the numbers I posted in late January on which rewards programs pay the most free (non-spending points) and found that while one program dropped somewhat (PointPool has fewer daily site visits), another program has increased if not the number of points, but their value almost by double!
Memolink is now offering about 16 free points a day between the site visits and trivia. In addition, they’ve got at least one $25 gift certificate (I calculate dollar value of a point based on $25 redemptions) for a cheap 3975 points — that’s Tower Records. While the costs of most GCs have remained the same, they’ve added many more options for redemption recently.
This keeps Memolink at #3 on my list of rewards programs offering free points but it’s running a close second (sometimes beating) Netflip, and not terribly behind #1, Milesource. Now, if only Memolink would send their redemptions out in a timely manner…….

Anyone else having trouble logging in to Milesource? AOL keeps timing-out due to the lengthy web site loading time.

Does anyone know of another site that gives you points for signing up with Memolink?
Thanks

Prima pays 275 points, Netflip will give you 30 cents, CreationsRewards gives you 50 points, SearchCactus gives you 35 cents, 4 points from SmartEPoints…any rewards program that uses metareward for points offers. To figure out what’s worth more, 4 SmartEPoints, 50 CreationsRewards points, or 275 Prima points, see our Dollar Value of a Point section.

Thank you. I joined yesterday and was able to get about 15 or so points but today I went back into the site and all I could find for free points (just clicking) one one site and then the trivia question. Am I missing something else or is this how it usually is?

You can get memolink points from answering the trivia question correctly, doing surveys, visiting the websites on the memolink homepage link, getting emails from them, referrals, and doing some of the point things they have on the site… like featured points, bonus points, etc.
Hope this helps!

I was curious as to why you consider Milesource #1. I have tried twice to redeem point for an award and have yet to recieve 1 from them. The first time, after repeated emails & almost a year from the points being redeemed, they returned my points with no explanation whatsoever. I have currently redeemed 2500 pts in Aug 2002 & no reward yet & they haven’t responded back to my 3 emails.

Sorry it’s taken this long to get back with you, Andrew! I consider Milesource #1 because a) you earn around 13cents a day FREE every day, and b) you can get those points in like 2 or 3 minutes by opening multiple windows. Some folks have had problems with receiving rewards, but mine have always come fairly quickly. Have you tried calling Milesource? Their number is (212) 630-0234. Sorry to hear about your problems.
Meanwhile…at Memolink I’m finding that I’m not getting nearly the number of daily points I was getting when I posted this. Now it seems to be like 7 or 8? Is this about what you all get?

That’s great that they are giving away more points……but try to get them redeemed!!!!!! I have been waiting for over 4 months for a gift certificate that when redeemed through mypoints.com took only 2-3 weeks to receive. Memolink does NOT respond to emails for inquiries so I am stuck. If anyone knows how to contact them any other way, please post. I have sent several emails to their CEO with no response. Therefore, I will not visit their site any longer.

Memolink has taken a turn for the worse… used to be that you could have more than one account per household, but now we can’t do that… my account got canceled for no reason, only to find that my ex-husbands address hadn’t been updated so there were 2 accounts linked to my address — he got the email, and I didn’t… I’ve been with them for a long time — 5+ years, but I’ve had enough. It took almost a year to get my last “prize” after surfing their site religiously… I give up.

Actually, Memolink lists lots of prizes, but when you try to claim them, they have every excuse under the book to delay and stall and not deliver the ordered prizes. I have been waiting over 3 months now for a restaurant card that I ordered in January, and the only thing I have heard is that the will not pay off until they feel like it – some sort of 2 tier system of payoffs – in other owrds – do not expect to get anything from them
