According to a post on the BeenPaid.com Forum, both CreationsRewards.net and SunshineRewards have been suspended from the BeenPaid Seal of Approval program as of Monday, 4/21. BeenPaid contacts its approved programs once a year as a “quality control check” to be sure that their payouts are current. Out of around 80 programs, Creations and Sunshine were among the only 4 to have not responded to any of BeenPaid’s three emails. As a result, they’ve been suspended and would have to reapply for the Seal of Approval if they wanted the designation again.
I don’t know if this was an oversight or if the program owners no longer feel a need for the Seal of Approval distinction. In their defense, as far as I know, both Creations and Sunshine are current in their member payments. If anyone had contacted me to find out why I did not reapply for the Seal this year, I would have been happy to have explained. But I was not extended that courtesy before this article appeared.
First of all, BeenPaid members are required to put the Seal of Approval on the main page of their website. I was having user complaints that when the Seal would not load, my entire site would not load. I did not feel that it was right to continue to apply for the Seal each year when I knew that I could not keep the Seal on my main page anymore.
Second of all, many of the referrals that we got from BeenPaid told us that they were expecting more paid clicks and paid emails from us when they joined. Sunshine Rewards is NOT a paid click or paid email site. We are primarily a cash back shopping and survey site. I did not feel like the members of BeenPaid were getting what they expected when they signed up. So as not to disappoint them, I chose not to reapply this year.
We at Sunshine Rewards take customer service very seriously and respond as best we can to complaints from our members. Sometimes that means scaling back our advertising or shifting our marketing strategies to be sure that we are growing in the right direction. We enjoy being a part of the BeenPaid program but would feel like we were cheating by taking the Seal and then not displaying it per their rules.
Thank you for the update!
And I’d also like to let everyone know that I heard from Chris at CreationsRewards today who said that he had been very busy with Creations and other projects and that it was an unfortunate oversight that he had allowed his site’s BeenPaid affiliation to lapse. He said he was emailing BeenPaid to inquire about reinstatement.
Dear Tricia, I did contact you on several occasions prior to the suspension but never received a reply back to any of my emails.
While it is true that it is part of our terms of service to post the Seal of Approval, had we been contacted regarding the loading issues, we would have gladly worked with you on a solution. Unfortunately we were not given this option. If you are still interested in partnership, we would be willing to work with you.
It was very clearly indicated on our site what your program is about, if members do not read our review and join expecting something else, that is something that we at BeenPaid cannot control.
Just as you do, we at BeenPaid also take customer service very seriously and are not meant to be an annoyance to our partners and end users if however, problems are not brought to our attention, we cannot fairly work on solving them together for the betterment of everyone.
If you are still interested in remaining with our program, we would be more than happy to welcome you back. Please contact me at your convenience.
Becky, Chris at CreationsRewards did contact me and I’m very happy to report that CreationsRewards has been unsuspended and is once again proudly listed as a partner program.
I’d like to personally thank you, Becky, for your assistance in this matter. BeenPaid.com has long recommended to our 8000+ members of our community to visit CompareRewards for valuable information and we will continue to do so.
From what I’ve seen of Sunshine Rewards, they are a shopping site mainly so I don’t see why they would even want that to be associated with that Seal of Approval. And personally, I don’t think its anyone elses business why they’ve decided not to put it on there, who cares, they are by far the best site around and I’ve never had a problem cashing out with them, in fact, their customer service is top notch. I’ve tried other sites and have no desire to participate with another one because of some seal. I’m so dissapointed that this site has even taken the time to blog about something like this.
Wow, I think it is too cool that all parties involved took prompt action and communicated their views and positions so clearly. Kudos to Becky for bringing everyone on board as well as to the Administrators of Beenpaid.com, Creation Rewards and Sunshine Rewards. Just one more reason to check CompareRewards Daily, lol!
Kelly, just to clarify, since 2003 BeenPaid.com has been providing and sharing information with our 8000+ members on how to earn online.
Our Seal of Approval program is meant to bring recognition to programs that fit within a certain criteria. Owners apply for our program, we do not solicite them.
SunshineRewards applied for our program knowing the requirements and terms of service. It would have been nice to receive a reply to our numerous emails however such was not the case. We’re pleased that you are happy with SunshineRewards. We wish them no ill will.
jetskimax, thank you for your kind words.
I just want to say how disappointed I am in Creation Rewards. I would NNNNNever reccommend them. I became a member late June and I finally earn 5045 points in LAte August with much fight too. First I did shopping on their website and they didn’t give me the credit. I sent an email and they credit my account – no big deal. Ok, I made another purchase through their website and this time it would be about 1000 + points. Didn’t get the credit. They said that they couldn’t because of whatever reasons. The irony is it was from the same webite.
So I made a request to cash out my points. Can you imagine what happen. The website clearly tells me that it will take 6-8 weeks to received. No problem… I have not received it yet. Then I went on the website to check.. They cant recognized my address. I no longer exist in their system. When I ssent a message for them to check into it.. the response was unacceptable. I would have to start all over.
Just want anyone out there who are thinking of doing surveys… DONT I repeat Dont try CREATION REWARDS. You do alot of surveys and no credit in the end.. some reward!!!
I have been unable to sign in to creationsrewards for the past few weeks. I have been sending messages on their site & through email from previous known email addresses. Email directly to Chris B email bounces back as undeliverable.
They had issues in crediting ALL the time. When sending shopping confirmation emails, they then credited. In the old days they said they would match other sites, but they never did and gave every excuse (even when I knew the affiliate program details). So I gave up and only used them for sites not available at other cashback sites.
They lost out on my online holiday shopping.
