FusionCash Down

April 21, 2008 · 39 comments

The FusionCash (aff) rewards program has been down since Friday. There’s no word on why or whether this is just a temporary outage. I have an email in to one of the site’s owners and will post an update if I receive one.
**Update, 4/23: Today I was forwarded an email from one of FC’s members (thanks, Megan!) who had gotten an email from FusionCash support on Tuesday. “We are currently working on the issue, it is something to do with the server overloading. We do not know if this was an intentional attack on FusionCash, or simply something that was done due to poor maintenance of the server itself. We are working very hard to get the server back up and running, and we are not going anywhere anytime soon.” I then emailed the same address and just now got this response: “The site appears to be back up and going strong — no idea how long it will last. Sorry for any inconvenience, we had no way of even emailing all our members.” The site is still down for me but it may come up for you. (fingers crossed)
**Update, 4/24: Site’s back up and fully functional. Staff confirms they were down due to a denial of service attack that tied up their servers and left them unable to email members about the problem.

Thanks for making the note. I have being able to get to to load some, by going thru the link you have here, then it times out and it gone. They had that raffle which I think was Saturday or Sunday, I am hoping it was is a server problem. They pay great with direct deposit, I get it by 4-10th at the latest each month. I sure hope nothing went wrong.
Thanks.

Fusioncash has been down for 4 days now. This is something serious. If it had been a bad server, it would have been fixed by now. I think they took off with our money.

I was able to pull it up, it loaded but when I went to sign in, it took to long and I was timed out. I would think it just would be gone if they skipped. I am just not sure, but it is showing signs of life. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, I too have been trying to find out why I didn’t get paid on the 20th when I was supposed to. I have gotten as far as the log-in screen and then the page times-out before I can get any information. I’m almost afraid to believe that this could be anything other than a rip-off. They owe me close to $300 and I probably won’t ever see it. There was also a 800 number that I had from my enrollment that is now disconnected. Good luck to everyone!

FusionCash’s gone bust. Go to http://www.alexa.com and see for yourself. The traffic to their site has declined by 19% in the last three months. If you know anything about this type of business, you’ll see that they make money by generating traffic to their site and by people signing up for offers/doing surveys. If traffic has been declining, they are clearly having financial difficulty. Furthermore, it is most likely you will not get paid.

I haven’t heard back from my FusionCash contact by email, but I found a phone number for him and called — it went straight to voice mail. I left him a message and hope to hear back from him. Will let you know if I find anything out this way.

No server problems would take this long. I was all set to cash out, too.

What I am having a hard time with is that Fusion would set people up the way they did, with now seems to be a bogus raffle. Getting new offers so people do them to win a chance at money prizes, do just take it and run is wrong. Fusion as been around for several years I am really having a hard time believing that they would do something so underhanded. I think all road lead us to believe they just left, or I think Becky would of heard from him. I think that stinks.

Those Fusion Cash bitches could at least send out an email if they were having web site issues. I too am beginning to think they took the money and ran.

I received an email from fusioncash today saying that they are having a server problem.
“We are currently working on the issue, it is something to do with the server overloading. That’s the email that I was sent about Fusioncash site being down.

I know tensions are running high but whoever posted the phone number and email address for FusionCash’s co-owner’s mom: That was a little extreme. It’s not cool to mess with people’s livelihoods. Her son is an adult and contacting her about his business dealings is harassment.
I want to give FC the benefit of the doubt. Megan, can you forward me the email they sent you? comparerewards at yahoo . com …thanks!

Yes I will forward you the email right now.

I am so glad I came across this page. For days I have been searching for info. as to why I have not been able to sign into Fusion. I hope it’s just a server problem they are having and it’s not that they have skipped with our money. I too was getting ready to cash out.
Somebody, will you please keep me posted at BEAUTIFULSTN@AOL.COM?
Much appreciated.

We are currently back up and running, we had no way of emailing all of our members with our server being down. And no, we aren’t broke and we are not going anywhere. Becky, if you want to email me for any reason at any time, it is kohler@fusioncash.com

Kohler,
You last posting was at 6:28 pm stating FC was up and running, and I just tried to log in and it was a blank screen. Further input would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, it stopped working for me to. Please know what we are trying as hard as we can, and no information has been or will be lost. As far as cashouts for this month, I have no idea — I will get with the Admin as soon as possible. Also, the raffle will be extended however many days we are down, which hopefully won’t be too much longer.

The site is finally working for me. I kept retrying and ended up just going to the login screen and then it worked for me. It took a little while to come up though.

It works if you get a blank screen from you favorites, here is what I did. Using Firefox I went up to the address bar to the right there is a green arrow, I kept clicking that arrow and it came up and I could log in. Go past the bonus page if you see that , I did and you should be able to sign in from there, using IE go to the address bar at top, and click the tow arrows until you get in. Hope this helps everyone.

Fusioncash is down Again. Why can’t these guys keep this site up for more than a day??? I can’t even get in through the forum link.
I am going to cash out before they go down for good and I’m moving on to another GPT site.

The site is down again. I can’t log on. It was just working last night.

Kohler (of FusionCash) April 25, 2008 at 1:26 pm

We can’t keep it up because we are being attacked by a hacker. We are working hard to keep the server up and get the authorities involved to get this guy locked up. Apparently, he has been doing this to numerous GPT sites, and asking for money to stop (extortion)

I thought this kind of stuff only happens in movies. (some hacker attacking a website for the purpose of extorting money) All this down time must be costing Fusioncash a fortune! There has to be some sort of protection against such attacks. I mean, why doesn’t this stuff happen to sites like Google or Amazon?

If you have been on the Forum the past couple of months, you will remember 2 so-called “members” really downing the site and intimating that they could bring FC down. I believe this attack is by either both or at least one of these people.
FC isn’t going anywhere. They are not “stealing” our money. They’ve been around too long for that and if FC is feeling a financial strain due to this attack, I am confident that they will make good by all.
If FC is one of your favorite GPT sites, then have patience. E-mail Kohler (kohler@fusioncash.com) anytime you feel the need. He responds quickly. If FC had any intention of taking our money and running, Kohler wouldn’t be answering e-mails.
Stay loyal – FC will have this fixed – its just taking longer than anyone thought it would and its most likely because there is more than one person involved in the attack.
Some people are just overly jealous of a site that has proven itself numerous times over. Its sad – but true.

As mentioned, we were attacked by an individual with malicious intent. He has been trying to extort “get paid to” sites for money by overloading servers with a Distributed Denial of Service attack. We’re doing everything we can to protect ourselves from this kind of issue, but the nature of the attacks (a brute force flood) makes it very difficult.
We are NOT going anywhere, nor are we experiencing any internal issues. The timing of the raffle is simply an unfortunate coincidence. Payments shouldn’t be delayed or affected by this issue.
Thanks, everyone, for your patience. This is an unfortunate situation for everyone.

Looks like the site is down again. I wonder if the attack is what caused everyone to get all those survey credits on their account yesterday.

I want to join fusion cash, but I cannot confirm my membership in the link provided in my confirmation email. I tried to access the link but it would not let me. I tried to type the link, but it just took me to the Fusion Cash homepage.
Please tell me how I can confirm my membership.
Thanks for your time.
