Did you get the MyPoints AmTrak email? If so, you’re sitting on a bunch of cheap & easy points.
First, you want to scan down to the part of the email that says “Earn 50 Points Plus”. If you join the Amtrak Guest Rewards program, you earn 50 MyPoints. Free – no purchase required!
Second, you can earn 2450 points by booking a trip before 3/14 (travel before 8/29). Nobody says you have to GO on the trip. Aha! (light bulb going off yet?) Folks on various forums are searching out the lowest fares you can book online. The one I picked was Orlando to Kissimee on 4/1, choosing fare type Senior, using discount code H304…cost of the ticket is $3.19!
2450 points = $17.50…and there are cheaper tickets than the one I got if you spend the time to look around!

Help!! Can’t find this reward offer at MYPoints…what am I doing wrong?
It was in Earn Points, Travel Center — though it’s not showing up for me right now, either (maybe refreshing would bring it up?). I got a BonusMail from them and responded directly from that. Wonder if they pulled the offer from the site? It *was* there a couple of days ago!
