Ebates Founder on TV Yesterday

I always pictured Alessandro Isolani, the founder/CEO of Ebates.com, to be an older guy, in his 60s, with a lot of dark hair and too much gold jewelry. He was on TV yesterday on San Francisco’s KGO Channel 7 in a short consumer segment about rebate programs, and I was surprised that he didn’t look anything like that! Not that he’s Brad Pitt, mind you…just that he looks like a regular computer geek, not the head of a multi-million dollar corporation.
The video of the segment is here. The content of it should be pretty elementary for my site visitors (“HUH? You can earn cash back for shopping through a rebate site? NO WAY!”), but I thought it was worth sharing just to see what Sandro looks like. :)

Are you kidding? 60 something dripping with gold jewelry?
I met Alessandro at a conference. One word: Babe! Ultra fashionable, green eyes, 30 something CEO… What’s not to like?
If only I could find a way to move the west coast.

I met Alessandro when he was vacationing with friends in Istanbul. He certainly doesn’t fit the stereotype of any computer geek that I know. In fact, he doesn’t fit into any stereotype at all. He’s got a great combination of brains, looks, style, and humor. The more you get to know him, the more he surprises you. I’d take him over Brad Pitt anyday!

New Sandro picture on his Facebook page. Worth the look, at least for this middle-aged lady. Also met him at a conference a while back in NY and he made a lasting impression on me. Wish more computer geeks looked like this. Ahh, to dream.
