BzzAgent to Reduce Rewards

December 9, 2006 · 0 comments

According to an article at Brandweek.com, the BzzAgent.com word of mouth marketing program will be eliminating rewards for many of its campaigns in 2007. They found that only about 13% of the points issued were being redeemed, so they began testing some campaigns that didn’t offer rewards, and according to BzzAgent rep Joe Chernov, they didn’t find a significant drop in participation. They say they’ll only be offering rewards for some campaigns in the coming years, and will be offering “social currency” instead — public acknowledgement, invitations to special advisory boards, etc.
