Today MyPoints started a new promotion for the holidays, which they promise is their biggest giveaway yet — 22 million points in all!
MyPoints members must first register here, then every day they can play a matching game (up to 3 times a day) for a chance to instantly win points. In between plays, you’ll be shown some offers, some of which are double their regular points offered.
1,000 winning times have been computer-generated; the first player at or immediately following that time will be a potential prize winner. Over the course of the game, they’ll give away 10 first prizes of 100,000 points (worth around $700), 90 second prizes of 50,000 points (worth around $350), 50 third prizes of 25,000 points (worth around $150), 50 fourth prizes of 10,000 points (worth around $50), 300 fifth prizes of 5,000 points (worth around $25), and 500 sixth prizes of 1,000 points (worth around $5). (Note: these value estimates are theirs; I think they are a little low.)
In addition, each day you play you’ll get an entry into a weekly giveaway for 1 million points (worth around $6,200). The contest continues for 5 weeks, so there will be five 1 million point winners.
The game runs through 12/25 and is open ONLY to U.S. residents (sorry, Canada!) age 18 and up.
I would think that since times are randomly generated, your odds would be better of winning at a lower-traffic time of day (way early in the morning on a weekday, for instance).
