A message was posted on a deal forum recently asking how people get referrals. Unfortunately, that forum, and many others, have rules against posting about competitor forums and about certain other websites. Luckily 
we have no such rules here. So I’m asking for your help — please leave a comment here with any ideas you have, any websites, deal forums, etc., that would help newbies build up their referrals. I’ll put together a list of the best suggestions as a permanent link on my site, and will give credit to the first user to present each suggestion. Thanks for your help!

The BigBig Forums have a referral forum that I have had great luck with getting referrals under me. You just sign up under whoever’s listed, and then the next person who wants to join that program signs up under you. You can usually get at least one direct referral this way, and often, you can get one referral several levels down.
I’ve also had good luck with advertising programs at CashClicking, a click exchange. I’ll put my Cashclicking URL above. (Sorry if you didn’t want referral URL’s–you didn’t say.)
