UPDATE, 4/01/06: The program was discontinued today. Read more here.
Update, 12/12: I attempted to cash out today for a 2,000,000 point prize. I had 2,147,000 points. The site said I had to have 2,500,000 points to cash out for points only and I had to complete a VIP survey first. Also, there was a $12 shipping fee for my prize. Will update when I hit 2.5m points.

Is this site working for anyone yet?
I’ve been “playing” on this site for a week now. make sure to get a referal if you join (email Becky), as you get more points for joining via a referal.
It is fun answering the questions – you can ask for a hint without penalty on every question. the hoover questions (on front earn page) can be done every day, as well as watching the three bonus movies. I didn’t see any special numbers in last weeks parade magazine, but will check again this sunday.
this program looks neat, but I see you have to pay shipping for some of the rewards. It’d be nice if they built that into the redemption price… or at least offered an option that did NOT cost anything at all.
how do you play
You can earn points at ParadePerks in several ways:
1. You get 25,000 points just for signing in every day.
2. You can watch videos in the “Bonus Round” section — little mini-commercials worth 5,000 points each.
3. Earn points for taking quizzes on topics covered in the weekly Parade magazine. Hints are available (no points are taken away for requesting them) that make answering fairly easy… or — here’s a tip — just let the timer run out if you’re not sure, because that way you won’t be penalized for an incorrect answer!
4. Referring friends or family members who’ve expressed an interest in the program is also worth points.
5. Occasionally, Parade will give out a “promo code” in the weekly magazine that you can enter on-site for additional points.
6. View ads and take quizzes in the Showroom (featured product) area of the site for more points.
Points can be cashed in for prizes after you’ve reached 2 million points and taken a VIP survey. Some prizes are points-only, some are for a discount with points. Either way, shipping and handling charges apply. They’re not unreasonable: a TV/DVD player available for points only has a $13 shipping/handling charge.
Points can also be cashed in for entries into a drawing for a prize.
The program is new and still evolving. I’ve found it to be a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to completing the VIP quiz so I can cash out for the first time.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if I can refer you to the program.
Becky
I got 3 million points and wanted to get the single cup coffee maker. It told me I wasn’t at the correct level. The requirement is gold, which is supposed to be obtained at 2 1/2 million points.
Now I can’t even login to try again.
I keep getting a message indicating my password is invalid. It isn’t invalid and I have even tried cutting it and pasting it from their email telling me my password. The same password work elsewhere.
Something is really wrong here,
WHat a ripoff.
I just went back to look at the coffee maker.
It is still at 3 million points, but now is listed a t Platinum level. It’s been almost a week since the gold survey and I am still gold. Now, they want to up the requirement.
Now the DVD player/VCR is Platinum, as is the DVD player, and even the CD walkman.
I think this is grounds for a class action lawsuit.
Anyone interested, please email me.
Changed the thing on the portable phone. I think the site is a rip off. I won’t come here anymore and waste my time.
The site has not lived up to my expectations…. though the points are “easy” to accrue, trying to cash them in is a nightmare!! PLUS I notice that some items are only $15.00 off
the MSRP….. and after I pay shipping and handling, well…
why bother??? I have decided to put all my points into the most recent drawing (the bracelet) but the screen freezes and I’ve been unable to complete the transaction. I thought about the portable CD player…. but it’ll be easier and cheaper just to go out and purchase it on my own. Nice try, Parade…. but NO CIGAR!!!
Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that Parade Perks is honoring their rewards from the different levels. I received my gift certificate in the mail today and can’t wait to use it!
