They also have auctions that you can bid on with your points. I won a Lord of the Rings DVD. I love it! You can win points whether you watch the shows or not.

my opinion best tv site on web.

How do you get so many points to win prizes? they cost millions!

Reply

Lisa Horan June 15, 2003 at 9:13 pm

I’ve won two auctions since December.
I can’t believe how fast they send your winnings.
The confirmation e-mail says 6-8 weeks but I got both with in 2.
So if your a T.V. fanatic then sign up.

ive been playing their games and getting points from the tv show quizes and from the surveys, but it seems like it would take forever to get enough points to win an auction. some of those auctions are up in a million or 2 points. im just woundering if there is any way to get points quicker? and how long it took those of you who got prizes to get enough points for them?

Reply

joey July 27, 2004 at 12:20 pm

ya.. I was curious too, how DO you get more points? I’ve been on for like two weeks religiously and only have like 170k… also, it says my level is SILVER and it says “premium level coming soon”. does that mean if i get enough points or am active for long enough that i’ll get premium status, or that they are working on that kind of thing soon to release to certain people?

They are good when working- lately they seem to be “temporarily” out of service quite frequently

Please, this site sucks! (at least as far as getting the rewards is concerned) They make it seem like you can “shop” for gift cards, but that is simply imposible. I’d like to know if ANYONE has managed it!? It claims that 72 of 75 of one prize was gone in about ten seconds, then for almost ten minutes claimed someone was in the process of purchaseing the others. How can everyone else get theirs in ten seconds, but it takes the other three ten minutes?!
The real problem is that if you use auction it will take forever to get anything. Compare, 300k for a $10.00 gift card on shopping section or 1.6 million for the same thing on auction (and that one still has four hours, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it went for over 2mil). They need to raise the price on the shopping section and get rid of the auction because this way is completly unfair.
As far as getting points I agree it is relativly easy, and if you like television it’s a great way to get points (and at least you font have to buy stuff to get them like some other sites).
Oh yeah, and lots of getting kicked off in the middle of surveys which is a bit annoying, but not terrible.

Ordered a reward 5 months ago and still have not received it. Company does not respond to e-mails. Don’t waste your time.

Reply

zeeterman May 13, 2005 at 12:15 pm

Agreed. I have enough points that would get me 4 $5 Gift Cards or 2 $10 ones. If only I could manage to get one of these. Even being on time when the gift cards go online makes no difference.
They need to offer say 1000 cards at a time and tweak their system.

Reply

tomleblanc May 19, 2005 at 7:44 pm

What a crock. Like a previous poster said, they make it seem like you can actually get giftcards with your 150,000 or 300,000 points, but they somehow disappear in about ten seconds! No matter how fast your finger is, it’s seemingly impossible to get one of these rewards before they “sell out;” it always tells you “someone else is in the process of claiming this reward.” The only way it seems you can actually get rewards is by winning an auction, where a measly $5 giftcard goes for a few million points!!! It’ll take forever to get that many points! Don’t waste your time with RewardTV. I feel cheated and scammed.

It seems now there are more commercial questions than there are actual show questions. They make the commercial questions so perplexing it’s impossible to get them right. Then if you get the commercial question wrong that is it you lose out on 400-500 points. They have no personilization in respect to playing in Flash. The guy’s voice becomes repetitive. I’d love to see them add a female’s voice and have something different.
A 100 points per question is so tiny and the fact that you can only play five games per day so that you get the fewest points possible is a shame. You’d have to get 20,000 points a day for a month and play for nearly six or seven months to win ONE auction that go through it again. They don’t listen to input and when the site goes haywire you start with say 18 questions and when you join the game back in progress you only have 17 questions so I have lost out on plenty of points.
Customer support seems unfriendly. Yes, it is a great way to see if you really watched a show and remembered it but when they make the commercial questions more difficult to answer than the show questions and have more trivia on those same commercials what is the point? One survey is worth 7,500 far more than playing any of the shows.

If you don’t have high speed internet, forget the shopping sprees. I use a T-1 line and have managed to claim a $5 prize about every 2.5 times I try (have four so far). I have had problems lately with the prizes. The first one I received in about 2 weeks. The next was a Taco Bell gift certificate and after waiting two months, I emailed customer service. The answered in a few days and said the Taco Bell certificates are on back order yet they are being offered on the shopping spree again today. I have suspended play pending receipt of the three certificates they still owe me.

I love RewardTV. I’ve gotten quite a few rewards from the Shopping Spree. I have cable internet access and get on at least 15 min before the shopping spree and was able to get the Barnes N Noble reward yesterday. I’ve gotten Toys ‘r Us and Walmart cards before that. It’s awesome. It just takes me awhile to rack up the 300,000 pts cause I’m not able to play every day for points.

this is a great site. where else can you test the details of your favorite shows. Great writers too…i wish i could meet them.
RTV is super fast to send any prize….much faster than any other prize site.
But i would use RewardTV even if there were no prizes.

Initially, I thought this site was fabulous; I loved answering the questions about my favorite shows I watched the night before. What started happening, however, was that little signs saying “Error” and “Error in Receiving Data” began to pop up on my screen continuously, making it impossible to play. I wrote to “help” several times and received not one reply. It makes me think all these people may want to do is break into one’s account to steal or misuse it or whatever those hackers do.

I had that same problem with neverbeing able to win anything but what I did was synchronized my computer time with an atomic clock and right when its about to be the shopping spree time (like 3 seconds before) i hit refresh in the browser and claim my prize :-D

RewardTV is a total ripoff. It’s pretty much impossible to ‘shop’ for anything during the shopping spree (only held twice a week). Unless you like TV Guide magazine and want free issues for your points, DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS. It sucks.

I just signed up to RewardTV a few weeks ago and was impressed that I was able to get a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. The selection of prizes is really great, and varies from week to week. I dont know if i got beginners luck or what, but I’m going to continue playing and trying for rewards. Good luck!

amy January 10, 2006 at 2:15 pm

The only thing I’ve seen so far that this site is good for is getting points, of course you do get the boot at times. This reward program is definately not for anyone who is on dial-up as you are not able to claim a reward. Dsl does some better but is still slower than cable internet. Only people I can see that can claim a reward is those with cable internet. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time. This site is by far not fair to everyone, especially if you cannot afford $50 a month or better for your internet. If you want to get real rewards you should become a myppoints member. Yes it takes longer to get points, but you can redem them at any time for what you want and it comes within 2 weeks. I’ve never had any problems with that program and so far seems to be the only one that is truly legitimate and fair to all users!!!!!!!!!

Definitely a cool site! There’s updated trivia every day, and tons of prizes given out each week. Im a huge Lost, Desperate Housewives, and 24 fan, so getting rewarded for watching the show is fine by me. Per the dial-up versus cable connection, I have dial-up, AND I’ve won. Yes, sometimes its been frustrating, but I do get stuff in the shopping spree.

I won a DVD in the auction section of Reward TV last Novewmber, 2005. I still haven’t gotten it and when I write to find out what’s up-I get the most canned, unhelpful…”sorry for the inconvenience, we will ship your reward as soon as possible…” answers. It’s infuriating! No matter what I ask them, that’s all they say. I don’t even think I’m writing to a real human being-probably just a computer generated response.
It takes SO long to earn enough points to get anything! And then to not get it at all… I’m glad that some of you got your rewards quickly, but just be aware that that’s not always the case.

Reply

wes March 9, 2006 at 10:55 am

You guys who say this site sucks, suck. This is one of the greatest sites out there. If you’re not quick enough to get the shopping spree items, then that just means more for me. I’ve accrued over 300 dollars worth of GC’s in the past YEAR. I got my mom to do it, so you can tack on another 100 bucks to that. The commercial questions are NOT hard, plus they repeat a lot. So in summary, if you don’t like it….GOOD…more prizes for me!!!!!!!!

Reply

glenn June 12, 2006 at 1:24 pm

The points expire on this site. And so how some of these users have millions of points is beyond me.

Reply

Well, common sense.. you can still get points even if you don’t watch TV. There are rewardtv forums that give you the answers to them daily lol idiots.

I have the same problem with reward tv… shopping is impossible. I think the people on this forum that say they have won are working for the company. I have the fastest possible connection, watch the clock and refresh as quick as possible…. have had multiple screens up at the same time and still have not won a prize. I’ve e-mailed with no response. And what about the so called $50.00 drawing. Or any of the other hundreds of sweepstakes you enter. Who won those??? Can I get a list of winners? I’m done giving them my opinions on surveys and helping them get paid by corporations. I’ll go to a site that actually pays me. Reward tv is a rip off.

This has to be the biggest rip I’ve seen in a long time. You’ll notice that the only positive comments are posted years ago. Take a look at the fools that promote them. These people are raking it in while giving out very little or nothing. I have yet to be able to get anything on a so called “shopping spree”. I have over 900,000 points that will do nothing. They say that these go quick. I’ll say. So quick I have yet to see anything. I am done making them money. No more will I provide them with income from my answering their sponsered questions. I didn’t try to get anything until I had 800000 points. That’s when I realized what a rip they are. I concacted them about their suposed shopping spree and they are the most un-understanding son of a bitches I have ever dealt with. al they want is for you to keep bringing in money for them. Well I’m done!!!! And I hope you get enough sense to out them out of business!!

I’ve been waiting for a KFC giftcard for 4 months now, RTV SUCKS!!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME

They are a total fraud.
not only is it almost impossible to get those shopping Spree gifts, the few that I’ve managed to “get” simply never arrived.
They do not send the gifts, pure and simple, and I plan to badmouth them everywhere.
The first gift card I finally got was a $5 card for Staples on January 10th–it is March 23rd and I have not received it or the couple I got after that.
I don’t believe that anyone here has received their prizes, they’re just trolls for the site if they say they have..I plan to go badmouth them everywhere I can…if I can have them checked out I will.

I have complained for a year now and they still have not improved their website. I am so done with them!! It makes me sick to think of all the time I have WASTED doing the surveys. Hopefully I can save someone else the same hassle and frustration. Don’t bother wasting your time!!!

I’ve been doing the surveys for 2 weeks and have about 60,000 points. What I want to know is whether anyone has ever won one of their sweepstakes drawings? The auction prices are ridiculously high and make me suspect that the only people with enough points to bid there are cheating the system. I spend a few of my points on sweepstakes entries each day, but it would be nice to know how many other people I’m competing with.

YOU MUST HAVE A FAST INTERNET CONNECTION TO GET ANY OF THE SHOPPING SPREE PRIZES!!!! This is very important to note, otherwise you will be working primarily with the auctions for your rewards.
Great site overall, fun to do, even if you leave it alone for a few weeks when you come back there will be tons of quizzes built up for you to do and earn points.

For all of you complaining about this site…you are basically complaining about not getting (or attempting to get) free stuff for doing pretty much nothing. I mean…how cheap can you be to complain if you don’t end up getting your 5 dollar Taco Bell gift card in the mail? Shoot is spending an actual 5 bucks at Taco Bell really so hard that you need a gift card to make it?

Reply

Lilly April 29, 2008 at 6:57 pm

yeah exactly.. what is a $5 taco bell gift card.. if yoy are able to get it before they all go. Otherwise you will be spending millions for a lousy $5 gift card. That’s an awful lot of work for 5 bucks if you think about it. Trust and believe they’re getting paid. I like that suggestion of offering 1,000 giftcards at a time instead of 75 or 25.

Well here’s my story on RewardTV.
I was referred by my friend to sign up and I did because it seemed like a sweet site that had legit rewards. It wasn’t like one of those other sites that say refer two friends and win an iPod Touch 32 GB!!! The rewards were small but not dirt cheap so I kept going. Eventually one day I decided to try and get a $5 McDonald’s arch card with my points I had accumulated and when it came down to the time, I tried to redeem and was SUCCESSFUL!! I was very excited because I had visited this site before and heard that it isn’t easy to get them, and I got it my first time! So I filled out all the crap you fill out for shipping and then got comfortable and waited.
I knew they said 6-8 weeks but I thought it was still taking long. Then once I believe the 6th week started, I actually received a letter in the mail. Sure enough, there was the gift card! I checked online and over the phone for the balance to make sure that it wasn’t just a worthless piece of plastic and it turns out it actually had TEN dollars on it, so I apparently got lucky with that.
Overall, if you go to the restaurants or businesses that are offered, then this site is great to come to. It can take time to accumulate enough points and to get the redemption right on time, but I think it’s definitely worth it!
9 out of 10 stars

I’m glad you are having such great success with the site because I haven’t been able to access the site since late Sept. I sent them an e-mail telling them my problem, did what they told me to do and still I can’t get in to redeem my 6 million points plus if I wanted to.I keep getting error reports and then I get Internet Explorer, they have a problem messages when I do try to reconnect with them. Is anyone else having problems out there? I really did enjoy playing the TV games and getting points. I was looking forward someday to being able to redeem them for something useful. I tried to get in when they did the shopping sprees also, but no luck there either.

I’ve gotten prizes from auctions and shopping sprees. The Shopping Spree prizes I’ve gotten so far were a gift certificate from Sport Authority and a Mcdonalds card. Auctions I’ve won are Smurf DVd which I plan to give at Xmas, and The Oprah Magazine which I love!
I think Rewardtv is great! Whatever you get just remember it’s FREE. I probably won’t ever get one of those prizes that take a zillion points, but I’m loving the stuff I’ve gotten.

I just joined RewardTV about a week ago, and I was eager to start collecting points. When the first shopping spree at a convenient time came around, I wanted to see how it worked, so I clicked on the BLOCKBUSTER gift card button, and went through the steps slowly so as not to actually get the prize. Somehow, I ended up winning. I probably should be happy, but there aren’t any Blockbuster’s close to my house. I could have saved up those points for something more useful, like an Amazon gift card or some restaurants we go to a lot. Oh well :(

I got a $ 5 Pizza Hut gift card a couple of weeks ago and a $5 Chevron gift card last week on the shopping spree. You need to have cable internet or dsl, period.Your computer cannot be an old computer.Check how fast your PC actually is before trying the shopping spree. Hit refresh and if it takes your PC more than 5 seconds to fully reload, then your PC is too slow.Delete your cookies and history, and maybe some programs you do not use.
Sometimes the “redeem now”button don’t show on the shopping spree. It doesn’t mean you can not click on it.Just click below the price you are trying to get.It should work. It worked for me last week.
A click takes one second, that is why prizes go by so fast. With the Pizza Hut gift card my name was the 3rd name on the winners list. With the Chevron,my name was on the second page, number 25 I think.I lost valuable seconds waiting for the “redeem now”button to show up.
Another thing is that when you win, they send you an e-mail to complete the redemption of your prize.Apparently some people do not redeem their prizes right away after clicking, that is why you may show “somebody is in the process of redeeming”
Winners can take up to 14 days to redeem those prizes or if they don’t,prizes are forfeited(I don’t know if they give them to the next in line).
I always finish my redemption screen right after I click for my prize.
So, it is not a scam. You guys are just too slow.

SCAM. They get paid to collect to information for companies and act as though you can redeem those points for gift cards. They claim you have to have a fast internet connection and be fast when pressing the “buy now” button. I’ve spent hours collecting points, and the shopping spree always fail. I have the fastest internet speed you can have, I am always waiting for the timer to count down, and as soon as it hits zero, my computer freezes and the “buy now” button never comes up.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME – they get free survey data and are probably phishing at the same time.

I have been only in their site before the shopping spree start, the site freeze and won’t load when time comes, in other chances i just won stupid blockbuster cards that i can’t use because their stores are closing, never an amazon gift card for example.

Hey guys- DON’T waste your time on this website- the likelihood of winning/earning a prize is incredibly slim. Firstly the amount of points that you earn per day is minimal- I played this religiously everyday for 1 month (answering most of the questions correctly and participating in available surveys whenever I could) and was still shy of 1 million points.
If you consider that most auctions are won at a minimum of 5 million points (for a crummy magazine subscription) and up to 10-15 million points (for ps3 etc) you do the math and figure out that it will take you from 5 months to 1 year to earn a prize- also be mindful that your points expire after a period of time.
The other option is the sweepstakes where the prizes are truly shite (150 000 points for a $5 subway or speedway card- no thanks) I tried this too, waiting for a month until the $10 amazon gift cards were up for grabs, I sat patiently at my computer watching the timer count down in incredibly small increments until I was only seconds away and then…bid on the card…filled in the confirmation code and waited to find out that all had been sold it- this is not possible the entire process took me no longer than 5 seconds! 15 cards in 5 seconds- well it is possible, but seems very unlikely.
The whole thing is such a hit and miss affair I wouldn’t bother- prizerebel is a far better site- it may be considerably more tedius and less fun but I have legitmately won almost $30 in amazon gift cards in the same time I spent winning nothing on rewardtv.

I am sure there are millions of people out there who are unlucky with the Shopping Sprees as they do go quickly. I’m from Scotland and like most users I thought I had no chance of winning. I did however win my very first Shopping Spree – £10 Clarks Card. I have received my confirmation email and my 8 week period ends in a couple of weeks.
I shall let you all know if I receive the voucher as it is hard to see which reviews are genuine etc to determine whether or not the site scams. I shall keep you all posted… :)

I honestly can’t believe almost everyone here is complaining that this site is a scam. They give you plenty of opportunities to win points, with both the games and the surveys. There are 3 different ways to redeem points: auctions, sweepstakes, and the shopping sprees that everyone seems to think are a scam. I have never participated in the auctions(too pricey) or the sweepstakes(not very lucky). I have gotten quite a few gift cards from the shopping sprees and I can tell you that they are always delivered to me in less than a month, even though they say 10-12 weeks. I have used them at the stores/restaurants and they have all been accepted without any problems. The reason most of you aren’t getting anything is because of your connection speed. At any given shopping spree there will likely be upwards of a thousand people trying for the prizes, and there simply aren’t enough to go around. If you have a slow connection speed, don’t blame the site.

If you throw your points away on a CHANCE to win a sweeps on the site, then you should know your chances are just like in winning the lottery. However, if you bid on the auctions, you can and should win nice prizes. I have won many and turned around and sold them on EBAY. Gift cards, Wii systems, George Foreman grill, dvd players, camera, and the lists goes on. This is not a scam. I am living proof.

Had that problem today this site is a joke I was on irazoo last year managed to get enough points to get a $5 amazon gift card I redeemed it when I wanted not when some stupid timer told me I had to plus they had enough and it was easy to redeem and I got to choose what I wanted, what I mean was there was a good selection of prizes three pages of prizes .

I entered 4 “pay my whatever” doubt I’ll be chosen .I’ll stick with Crowdtap they listen to their members and are actually changing some features to make it fair for everyone to win

I joined the site last week and have 149,000 I wish they would put the “price” for all of their gift cards and it would be better if they were ALL available at all times not just certain ones during a shopping spree

You know what I hate about this site ? Why the hell do we have to wait for a certain time to claim a prize I mean if you have the points then we should be able to redeem them when we want and seriously if everyone is trying to claim a prize at the same time there servers are going to be jammed .I have a tablet and it’s pretty fast but even I couldn’t claim a prize Also what sort of reward site only has a tiny amount of gift cards I mean today they were giving $10 amazon gift cards $5 McDonald’s gift cards and $25 Gap gift cards there were only 15 amazonRewa gift cards available 65 McDonald’s gift card in ten seconds flat .Sure a few people win good for them but what aboute else ,so this is what they need to do to improve

Drop the shopping spree it’s stupid and unfair for anyone with a slow connection

Have an unlimited amount of giftcards not just 25 or 15 or 10 at a time and. they should have a better selection not just three .at a time

They need to get rid of the whole “Cash out when we say it’s time”

This site is worse than ever! Not only is it impossible to win on the shopping sprees it takes forever to load anything and I have very fast internet. They know they have thousands of people trying to win on a shopping spree at once yet they don’t add more cards or get a faster website. They take advantage of people!

I don’t believe its a scam. I have only had my account for 10 days and I won a shopping spree and have another 150,000 points for the next one. I have gotten up to 50,000 points in a day… but you could be right, I have not received a prize yet its only been a week LOL

I just started using RewardTv and not even using it within an hour, I’ve already earned 75,000 points. They’re really easy to earn. What I want to ask is if anyone has won any of the “Pay for My Stuff” prizes? They seem legit, and don’t really cost much points at all.

Also, has anyone really won any of the sweepstakes?

I thought this was awesome AT FIRST, then they brought me to a page where to continue I have to put in a claim code they supposedly sent to my email. I never got the code. I keep hitting resend code snd still never get it so I hsve no way to continue or contact them. I googled contact customet service snd when I click the link on any of them it brings me right back to the page that says to enter the claim code. This sucks, its crap!
