Freeride: taking members for a ride since 1996.
It’s happened yet again — Freeride has been sold.
According to an email being sent out to inquiring Freeride members (thanks to Ginger for passing it along), Freeride.com has once again been sold. The new owner, identifying himself as Rob, says that he purchased “the assets of Freeride.com” but apparently not the liabilities: all accounts have been deleted, all tokens zeroed out, and all payments canceled.
Freeride’s terms and conditions, updated on Monday, identify the latest owner of the website as EZD Consulting, located in Ontario, whose president and CEO is Robert Scheinbein. The site’s About page says he/they have been a leader in internet marketing for ten years. Their Special Offers page lists “September Current Specials” and says Copyright 2011 on the bottom of the page. Not really encouraging.
Also not encouraging: this wording from Freeride’s terms and conditions:
“FreeRide.com may sell, trade, or disclose to third parties your customer identifiable information derived from the registration for or use of the FreeRide.com on-line service — including customer names and addresses — without the furhter consent of the customers…”
And without the further assistance of spell-check, it seems. (Who hyphenates “on-line” these days, anyway? But I digress.)
Upon reading this portion of the terms, I closed the window without signing up for the new Freeride. I have quite enough spam as it is, thankyouverymuch.
Hit “continue reading” to see the full email being sent to members.
Please keep in mind that while the name’s the same and the look will be similar, you will be starting fresh with an unknown company telling you up-front that they may sell your personal info. If you choose to participate, be forewarned.
Hi ,
We have an official announcement going out in a day or two about the change of ownership of FreeRide. Meanwhile please create a new account and try out our new features. Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of member token balances, as I have only purchased the assets of Freeride.com. I was not privy to any information of that nature. As the new owner of Freeride.com, I can assure you that if you choose to be a member of the new Freeride.com, you will be provided with many opportunities to earn and redeem tokens. In addition, if you had a prior token balance let me know and I will do my best efforts to work out a bonus plan for you to keep you happy. I really want to give it my all to make my members happy. That includes making them more money and the providing of great customer service. Please try and use the service and as the membership grows I will be able to provide opportunities which have big payouts since I have relationships with companies in this industry.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Rob
Again, please make sure you respond to rob@freeride.com which gets directly to me. Please start using the site and take surveys so I can start negotiating great opportunities for everyone.

I signed up to see if my points were in tack. I did that before I received the letter from Rob. I’m deleting my account. I hung with them through 3 versions at least. I’m done. DONE!
Hi Miss Becky, I received the email too. I sent for a $10.00 Amazon Gift card on Feb. 8, 2013 and wrote and wrote and no reply. Never recieived ti and the points were deleted right away. I wrote Rob and told him so and how many points I had in the account as of the 15th. If I don’t get the card and points then I too will cancel. These people make me sick with their crooked way of doing business.
these crooked sites give me a pain.
So disappointed! I also have been waiting since Feb for my Amazon $10 gc.
Well before I did anything I checked your site for the freeride lowdown. I don’t know why but I decided what the heck and checked them out anyway. That was April 19th. I did a few of the offers, and a bunch of the work tasks. I qualified for a survey or two and cashed out $5.36 to my paypal. I held my breath and crossed my fingers. 2 days later it was in my paypal. So far so good. I’ll make sure and cash out asap each time after being burned in the past. For the time being I’ll stick around for now and see how they play and pay. One thing makes me nervous. Down line referral program. That was part of the downward spiral of Netwinner in my opinion. If anyone wants to give it a try hit me up for a referral link….
I too got screwed from freeride.com for 45,567 points. That’s almost enough for a $50 gift card or pay pal. Got the same letter as above and was also told the same. After 3 emails back and fort I can see I will get nothing. I AM CANCELING MY ACCOUNT and he will also now that anyone that I had sign up will cancel also. I refuse to state all over again. I guess Memolink is the 1 I will be staying with.
Just an update. As of today I have earned just over $20 in cash to paypal. I cash out at $5 or soon after just in case. Between this one and Savingstar my paypal balance is growing nicely.
Ok my newest update on Freeride. So far I’ve made $57.90 in cash. No problem getting paid or long waits for the payout. Today I see that I now own 4000+ shares in the company. Rob says he plans to make members owners sort of like Apple did and everyone made money. He says the legal docs. are being prepared and will be ready in a few weeks. So far I’m loving the new FREERIDE! People hit me up for a referral and get started earning money today.
