Lootzi.com was launched in October 2010 by the same company that owns FatWallet Cashback. It operates completely separately and the programs are otherwise unrelated.

Notes
1. Lootzi is owned by the same company that owns FatWallet Cashback. It was launched to provide a more streamlined, more traditional cashback site than FatWallet’s more forum-centric, deal-scouting perspective.
2. For a limited time, earn 25% of what your referrals earn in cashback. Referral earnings are only paid by check.
My Take
Lootzi is a no-frills approach to cashback shopping that many people will appreciate. The site is clean and uncluttered, giving members the ability to search for stores by name or by category, and providing coupon codes and other current sale information for each store.
The referral program is generous (particularly at the 25% limited time referral rate).
Lootzi has different merchants than “sister site” Fatwallet, and on the merchants they do have in common, FatWallet’s rates are about the same, except for a few promotional increases they have going on right now (1800Flowers is now at 9%, usually 4%, at FatWallet…it’s 5% every day at Lootzi). I’d hazard a guess that due to the bargaining power FatWallet brings to the table as a large and well-established cashback program, they have more ability right now to negotiate these promo rates. Give Lootzi some time, though…I think they’ll get there, too. Compared to other cashback sites, Lootzi has very competitive rates.
I like Lootzi and its “less is more” approach and think it will do well as long as it stays focused on that strategy. They need to bring a couple more big merchants onboard (I see they’re missing Best Buy, JCPenney, and Victoria’s Secret, just at a glance), but in terms of appearance, ease of use, and competitive rates, as well as the generosity of their referral program, Lootzi is an impressive new program that should do quite well.

Thank you for the review of Lootzi. Like you, we think consumers will embrace the simple uncluttered design and we hope they can take advantage of the introductory referral program to make a little extra money for themselves. Future features are already on the drawing board, but the focus will remain on keeping the experience clean and easy for cash back shoppers.
Rewards are a big part of being smart with your money and we appreciate all CompareRewards.com does to make that message postive.
