In a press release issued today, Microsoft confirms that its Bing cashback shopping program will be doubling its cashback rates starting on August 10th, as I originally reported here a week ago.
The release’s wording is that users can save “up to double” cashback, which I guess is their simplified version of what they told merchants in their email from the 16th, which is that they’ll double rates up to what’s currently 25%. Any rates that are currently over 25% wouldn’t be doubled. (Although it seems like they should go to 50%, logically. Not sure how they’ll handle those.)
Do your homework and be ready to shop first thing on 8/10!
